For most people two weeks vacation a year is the highlight of their year. For many people the thought of two weeks on a sun kissed beach in the summer is the only thing that keeps them going through the long cold and dark winter days. But what we think of as a summer holiday is somewhat different than what we would have looked to book 10 – 15 years ago. Back then we were all in the laps of a travel agent who would point us in the right direction of a hotel in a location that they think might be suitable for our needs, but then the inter web came along. If nothing else the inter web has allowed people to research their summer holiday and discover new destinations that they would not usually have thought about or even have heard of, the inter web allows you to widen your travel horizons and helps you to seek out new and exciting places. Many of us have grown up in the age of travel, traveling the world is much easier now than it ever has been and more of us are traveling further and further afield. We now visit places that 20 years ago we could only have dreamed of visiting, and then we return home wondering about what if we could live in a different country? Where would we go and what would we do, I would imagine that for the majority of people the places that they visit on their holidays are much more exciting than their home town. Because it is getting so much easier to get to far of places and the lines of communication are so much better it is so much easier for us to imagine living in a foreign land and getting away from the rat race, and not necessarily to earn more money, the vast majority of people who contemplate moving abroad site a change of lifestyle as the main reason for wanting to move.
